The Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has suspended its nationwide strike following an appeal by government to allow time for negotiations.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, the association said its National Executive Committee (EXECO) took the decision after reviewing the government’s request for 14 days to resolve concerns over salary structure and conditions of service.
As part of the directive, all CLOGSAG members have been asked to resume work by Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
The association indicated that the suspension is intended to create room for an amicable resolution of the dispute.
The strike, which began earlier in March, was triggered by concerns over conditions of service and salary structure for members.
CLOGSAG’s latest decision is expected to bring temporary relief to public sector operations, while negotiations between the association and government continue.
