Ghanaian actor and filmmaker Van Vicker has filed a GH¢10 million defamation lawsuit against fellow actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, at the High Court in Accra.
The lawsuit follows the circulation of a social media video in which Lil Win allegedly made statements questioning Van Vicker’s honesty and professionalism and threatened to prevent him from working in the Kumawood film industry.
According to court documents filed on Monday, October 12, 2026, Van Vicker claims the statements have damaged his reputation and negatively affected his professional relationships and career opportunities.
The actor maintains that the allegations against him are false and have exposed him to public ridicule and embarrassment.
He further argues that the statements have raised concerns among colleagues, film producers and family members, with some questioning his professional conduct and availability for film projects in Kumasi.
Van Vicker, who describes himself as a professional actor, producer and director, insists that he has consistently upheld professional standards throughout his career.
As part of the legal action, he is asking the court to declare the statements allegedly made by Lil Win defamatory.
He is also seeking GH¢10 million in exemplary damages, together with an order compelling Lil Win to publicly retract the statements and apologise through news platforms.
The writ of summons requires Lil Win to enter an appearance within eight days of being served, including the day of service.
It further indicates that failure to comply could result in judgment being entered against him in his absence.
