The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced for the information of the public, particularly parents, guardians, and students, that the reporting date for form 1 Senior High School (SHS) students is December 4, 2023.
A statement signed by the head of the Public Affairs unit said the management of GES anticipates that all schools will start registration and orientation for first-year students on December 4.
“It is the expectation of Management that schools begin registration and orientation of students from 4th of December 2023,” the statement said.
The school session will be recessed for the Christmas celebration on December 21, 2023, and resume academic work on January 3, 2024.
Meanwhile, the management of GES encourages students who are yet to complete self-placement to do so as quickly as possible and asks for patience in the implementation of the SHS calendar as steps are taken to transition back to the pre-COVID schools’ calendar.
