The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the release of funds for the procurement of perishable food items for Senior High and Technical Schools across the country.
In a statement issued on April 20, GES said the funds, which had been outstanding, have now been made available to support feeding in schools.

Funds to Support School Feeding Programme
According to the Service, steps have already been taken to ensure the timely and efficient distribution of the funds to beneficiary institutions.
The release is expected to improve the availability of food supplies and support the smooth running of feeding programmes in schools.
Monitoring Measures in Place
GES indicated that monitoring and accountability measures have been put in place to ensure that the funds are used strictly for their intended purpose.
Relief for School Authorities
The Service noted that the release of the funds will ease pressure on school authorities who have been managing feeding challenges due to delays in funding.
Commitment to Student Welfare
GES assured stakeholders of its continued commitment to improving student welfare and enhancing educational outcomes across the country.
