The Air Force Cadet Corps of Keta Senior High Technical School (KETASCO) has visited the Ghana Navy’s Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) at Nutekpor to gain first-hand knowledge of the Command’s training capabilities and operations.
According to a report published by the Department of Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), the educational visit took place on Friday, July 17, 2026, and was aimed at acquainting the cadets with the capabilities of the Ghana Navy while also inspiring them to consider careers in the military.
During the visit, the cadets toured selected training facilities within the Command and received briefings on the roles and responsibilities of the various schools and units under NAVTRAC.
The students also observed some of the Command’s modern training infrastructure, including the Simulation Centre and the Ship-in-a-Box, which are used to enhance practical training for naval personnel.
The report said the cadets interacted with instructors on various aspects of naval training and military professionalism, providing them with valuable insights into the operations and standards of the Ghana Navy.
According to the Ghana Armed Forces, the visit formed part of NAVTRAC’s continuous engagement with educational institutions to strengthen civil-military relations, promote greater awareness of the Ghana Navy’s role in national security and national development, and inspire young people to consider careers in the armed forces.
The Ghana Armed Forces noted that such engagements are intended to deepen public understanding of the military’s mandate while fostering stronger relationships between the armed forces and educational institutions across the country.
