The Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has graduated from The University of Law at the Barbican Centre in the United Kingdom after completing a Master of Laws in Professional Legal Practice, a qualification that makes him a Solicitor of England and Wales.
In a post shared after the ceremony, Mr George said he enrolled on the programme in 2023 and completed it in 2025, although he took a break in 2024 during the election campaign period.
He described the academic journey as demanding, saying he had to combine the programme with different phases of his life.
“I enrolled in the program in 2023 and completed it in 2025, taking a hiatus in 2024 during the election campaigns. A pretty challenging endeavour as I combined the multiple phases of my life,” he wrote.
Mr George said the achievement should inspire others who may have postponed their dreams to take the first step.
“The Masters of Law in Professional Legal Practice qualifies me as a Solicitor of England and Wales. I hope this inspires someone out there to pursue any dream that they have deferred. You never know what you can achieve until you start,” he stated.
He also thanked God, his wife, family and friends for their support throughout the period.
“Thanks to the Lord Almighty, my wife, family and friends for all the support and prayers during this phase of my life. The life of a lifelong learner!” he added.
His achievement is likely to draw interest among students and young professionals, especially those trying to balance education, work and public life.
