President John Dramani Mahama has commissioned the Dr Omane Boamah ICT/AI Training Centre at Kwahu Obomeng in the Eastern Region to honour the legacy of the late former Defence Minister.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by the mother of the late Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, along with senior government officials including Julius Debrah and Rita Akosua Awatey.
The facility is expected to provide training in information and communication technology (ICT) and artificial intelligence (AI), with a focus on equipping young people with digital skills for the future.
The project forms part of efforts to promote digital education and innovation, while preserving the memory and contributions of Dr Omane Boamah to national development.
The event also highlighted the government’s commitment to investing in technology-driven learning and expanding opportunities for youth across the country.
