The Open Government Partnership (OGP) Ghana Office, under the Public Sector Reform Secretariat, has confirmed Ghana’s participation in the upcoming 2025 OGP Global Summit scheduled to take place in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, from October 7 to 9.
The high-level international summit will bring together Heads of State, senior government officials, civil society leaders, and global partners to exchange ideas, share best practices, and assess progress on open governance reforms and National Action Plan implementation.
Ghana’s delegation will be led by Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba, Member of Parliament and Minister of State in charge of Public Sector Reforms. She will be accompanied by Members of Parliament, sector ministers, public officials, and representatives from civil society.
The OGP Ghana Office emphasised that this collaborative delegation underscores Ghana’s ongoing commitment to the OGP’s core principles: transparency, accountability, citizen participation, and innovation in governance.
In a joint statement, the Public Sector Reform Secretariat and the OGP Ghana Office reaffirmed the government’s dedication to driving meaningful public sector reforms that foster public trust and support sustainable development.
