Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Minister of Education, has asked for a third term for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in order to complete all E-block projects launched by the Mahama administration.
The Nana Addo administration, according to the minister, is on track to reform the country’s education.
Taking his turn in parliament to debate the 2024 budget, Dr. Adutwum said that many of the community day schools built by Mahama have now been provided with boarding facilities, opening the path for them to be inhabited with students.
On his part, Deputy Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin accused the NDC MPs of making Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia a ticket for assaults while he is the future of Ghana and Mahama belongs to the past.
This remark, however, did not sit well with his Minority counterpart, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, who contended that the country is doomed if the Vice President is indeed the future of the country.
He went on to highlight the issues in the energy industry in the 2024 budget.
In a press conference following the proceedings, Deputy Minority Chief Whip Comfort Doyoe Ghansah Cudjoe said that the country urgently needs independence, which can only be provided by former President Mahama.
The Ada MP issued a warning to politicians, including the Vice President, that the country is not prepared for foolishness.
