The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the dates for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for the year 2024.
According to the announcement, the BECE is scheduled to take place from the 8th to the 12th of July, 2024, while the WASSCE will be held from the 1st of July to the 31st of August, 2024.
In a statement issued by the GES, it was revealed that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) would provide detailed information regarding the registration process for candidates participating in the examinations. This information will be communicated to the heads of schools in the coming weeks.
The GES has instructed Regional Directors of Education to disseminate this crucial information to the Metro/District/Municipal Directors of Education for onward communication to all heads of Basic and Senior High Schools across the country.
