Nyamekye and Partners has welcomed its lawyers to the 2026/2027 legal year, with a renewed commitment to professional development, improved performance, teamwork and enhanced legal service delivery.
In a message to lawyers of the firm, the Founder of Nyamekye and Partners, Dr Nyamekye Esq., expressed optimism about the new legal year, describing it as one that promises to be great.
He called on members of the firm to uphold professionalism, improve their legal practice and contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the firm.
As part of efforts to strengthen the capacity of its lawyers, the firm plans to organise a series of activities, including Continuing Legal Education (CLE) sessions, to sharpen their skills and keep them abreast of practice directions.
The firm will also undertake performance evaluations of its lawyers, focusing on attendance, case handling, time management, initiative, knowledge of legal procedures, approach to practice and overall firm management.
According to the message, individual discussions will be held with lawyers to assess their performance and consider their future with the firm.
The new legal year will also see the introduction of new lawyers, who will be guided by existing members of the firm to understand its working culture and professional values.
Dr Nyamekye Esq. emphasised the importance of collaboration, urging lawyers to complement one another rather than compete among themselves.
The firm is also expected to introduce new policies for compliance, alongside monthly progress meetings beginning in November 2026. All lawyers are expected to attend the meetings.
On staff attendance and punctuality, the firm has directed lawyers to report to the office at 9:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m., unless otherwise stated.
The message further indicated that the firm has entered into an agreement with a hospital, whose name has not yet been disclosed, to address concerns about absenteeism on health grounds. Lawyers who are unwell will be required to provide an authorised medical excuse to justify their absence, with deductions from allowances possible in cases of unexplained absence.
The announcement comes as Nyamekye and Partners prepares to mark its 12th anniversary on October 14, 2026.
Dr Nyamekye Esq. expressed gratitude to God for the firm’s journey and urged all lawyers to remain committed to excellence, safety and the continued growth of the firm.
He concluded by wishing the lawyers a successful legal year and praying for God’s protection, wisdom and guidance throughout the new term.
