Ghana turned the streets of Brooklyn, New York, into a vibrant celebration as the Black Stars unveiled their new home jersey for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The colourful launch, organised by kit sponsors PUMA, attracted a lively crowd and blended football, music, and Ghanaian culture ahead of the tournament, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The new jersey features a bold gold-yellow design adorned with traditional Adinkra symbols, reflecting Ghana’s cultural heritage. At the centre sits the iconic Black Star, a long-standing symbol of national pride.

The launch went beyond a traditional kit reveal, transforming into a street festival with a 4v4 football tournament, live music, and interactive fan experiences.
One of the standout moments saw fans dancing to the trending “Kakalika” dance, highlighting the global reach of Ghanaian music and culture.
The event was headlined by football legend Asamoah Gyan, music star Black Sherif, and women’s international Freda Ayisi, who energized the crowd and connected Ghana’s sporting excellence with its entertainment scene.
Their presence reinforced Ghana’s growing influence on the global stage, both in football and popular culture.
PUMA’s partnership with the Black Stars continues to incorporate African identity and storytelling into the team’s branding, building excitement ahead of Ghana’s campaign at the 2026 World Cup.
