These disciplines include football, volleyball, basketball, handball, table tennis, hockey, netball, racket games, and athletics (track and field events).
Goalball was introduced in the last edition as an exhibition game for the first time since the inception of GUSA Games in 1966. It was meant to show the role of students with special needs in sports. Participating universities were: University of Ghana, University of Cape Coast and University of Education, Winneba.
