Great Participation At The 52nd UG Inter-Halls Athletics Competition

Unlike other sporting activities that receive less participation by students, the first day of the 52nd inter-halls athletics competition saw hundreds of students and spectators thronged the University of Ghana athletics oval to watch and cheer up athletes from various halls battled it out at the 52nd inter-halls athletics competition.

 The University of Ghana Sports Directorate annually engages sports men and women in very competitive tournaments in various disciplines to justify their inclusion in the University’s team to compete with other equally good teams at the Ghana University Sports Association Games (GUSA) and West African University Games.
The theme for this year’s athletics competition is “Promoting Healthy Living And Competitive Spirit Through Sports”.
The event which is a three-day event was graced by the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Samuel Kwame Ofei on the first day to support the athletes.
