Peptalk With NativeDr, NII: "Conversations Of Palanquins And Stools"- Mimicking The 'Stand' Of Voltaire

...and so, the old man spoke breathlessly, saying: "Ah, and when and where did we loose touch so fast to have tripped so far..!!??

Were we not the ones who named women? How come now, they seek to define us.

Is it not said by our fearbearers that lizards never out-wit the crocodile?

Then now, tell me, how come history is bending its head in utter shame?

How come the mouth that named all of history is muted in a cemetry-like silence?

Accursed! Accursed! Accursed, we have become!

For a man who refuses to draw forth his sword from the sheath in the time of war is a traitor; a friend of our foes. Such a man is duly and dutifully accursed!

From whence comes all these non founded chastisement of the male spicemen?

The gene that has held the promise of history till present?

From whence comes the wisdom of staggering tress to undermine and attempt to uproot that of the oak?

They say, "in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king"; but I dare tell you, what happens where the three eye sighted is made servant of the one sighted is far worse.

Who beats the gong for the war dance to commence?

Who sounds the atumpan, donno, kete and fontomfrom, for the pledges of mansa musa and obunumankuma; Kuntungunungu and Odiapedwa to be revived?

The souls of men lay helpless in the advance of a swordless foe!

Men are slain by limping foes!

Who shall awake us out of our deep but definite slumber?

Shall a decade more go without our shame thrown assunder?

The heart of men beat, but at the rythm of an unknown piper.

The chest of men is drawn out wide, but in the chest is an untamed viper.

Who shall dredge our lonely souls from the hands of the bounty hunter?

That lunky hunter who prides himself in the strength of a charmer.

Who shall hear once again the call of the tale bearer; for without spells and bells his voice reaches farther than further.

The dice are cast, who shall have the first bite?

The judgemnt is passed, who shall cast the first stone?

The battle line is drawn, who shall cross unto the red zone?

For our elders long ago said, "women have no permanent friends, except for permanent interests"

Whatever that meant, we were young; and up until now, we even still dont know.

Maybe, just maybe, it meant: "from the formless, shapes are illusive"

But one thing is certain, WITH MEN, shall we all come back and settle home.

...and now, to him who has ears, a word to the wise is surely greater than half!

AsanteSaana. Thank you.
