Speaking at the closing ceremony, the West Africa Coordinator of IIIT, Dr Bashiru Galadanci commended the Accra School for the level of intellectualism and scholarship in the teachings of Islam faith exhibited by the students. He said the Winter School Accra is at the same level with that of Kano and Lagos Schools.
"I am very impressed at the higher level of intellectualism and scholarship. I remember when I was discussing with resource persons, l was telling them that the schools in Kano and Lagos will most likely be at a higher level... I thought that we would require a lot of efforts in other to pass or disseminate these modules to you. I must say that I found out that you are at the same level if not higher than the levels of the other Schools," he said.
He also commended the participants for making all the sessions interactive and enjoyable throughout the programme.
"I have found something special to this School (IIIT Winter, Accra) and of course I have gone round in all the four Schools and many of us as resource persons have also gone round. And most of us are of the opinion that this School is the most jovial. It has been very enjoyable. It is as if you know each other all your life," he noted.
Dr Galadanci admonished them to implement what they have been taught in their personal life and that of their communities.
"I see all of you motivated to be able to implement these aspects, modules directly into your day to day life's. I have been particularly impressed by the various individual presentations. Many of them were directly related to life in Ghana. I have no doubt that all of you will go back home and in Sha Allah try to fully implement this School in your life...and your communities," Dr Galadanci stressed.
In his remarks, the Chairman for the closing ceremony, Sheikh Armiyaw urged the students to let what they have learnt bring about change in their lives.
