Early the next morning, the young man went to meet this Guru at the beach. The Guru said to him, “I bet you want to be successful?” and the young man replied “really bad”.
The Guru then told the young man to walk into the sea and he did until the water got to his waist level, still the Guru asked him to thrust deeper and the young man complained “I said I want to make money, not to be a life guard” so the Guru said “I thought you wanted to be successful” he said “I do” and the Guru said “Go further”, which he did.
From the back the Guru buried the young man’s head under the water, the young man battled just to bring is head out of the water, just as he was about to pass out, the Guru brought him out he said I have a question for you “what did you want to do most when you were down in the water?” and the young man said “To breathe”. The Guru said “If you want to succeed as bad as you wanted to breathe, then you will be successful”.
When you are trying to breathe you don’t care about things around you because all you need is air. Most of you say you want to be successful but you don’t want it badly, you just kind of want it. Most of you don’t want success as much as you want to sleep, to party, to remain comfortable.
I want to tell you that if you want to be successful you have to be willing to give up sleep, because when you go to sleep you might miss the opportunity of being successful. You have to want success as bad that you forget to eat. Sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep is for those who are broke.
You don’t have to quit, you are already in pain, you are already hard, and you have to get a reward from it.
Don’t relax or give up until you succeed. At the end of every principle is a promise. How bad do you want it?
