Hacked by saws, hoes, axes and clubs, there she lay, 10feet from the gates that held her fortunes

She was gone, lost to a universe untold

"Each festive season, the long standing maxim of 'let the blood flow' ensues. Time and again, without favour nor kindness the pressure mounts on my family & species. When at all shall men rest from delighting in me all so selfishly? For in one breath i am a pet & in just the next, i am their pest! What a destiny seemingly calculated to stomach pain...hmm..."

It’s Christmas, when the never lacking symbolic Christmas tree promptly reminds us of the tree of life that stood in the midst of God’s blissful garden; the tree that promises us all that: ‘eternal life is attainable and desirable after all’

It’s Christmas, when endless gifts & hampers queuing for our homes reminds us of the many gifts of God’s love sent from Heaven to us each of the ‘350 plus’ days of this year

The poetic dialogue below, written in somewhat ‘colloquial’ English, is a masterpiece! A dialogue between a younger and an older fellow; an inter-generational dialogue with a transcendent posture and overtone; on the face-value, the dialogue seeks to remind potential New Year citizens of the outstanding maxim that ‘each year matters’; on a more philosophical and metaphysical level, it seeks to draw the attention of the reader to the fact that ‘…not only does Each New Year matter, BUT MORESO, each experience and encounter in the New Year does’. Enjoy and indulge accordingly.

While I labor in the field to get tomorrows meal
