The Lebanese Community in Ghana has awarded scholarships to thirteen law students at the University of Ghana.

The scholarship scheme forms part of the community’s efforts to contribute to the strengthening of the rule of law in the country, and has been going on since the 2013/2014 academic year.

KNUST Student Commits Suicide

Police in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, have launched an inquiry into the death of a level 100 BA Geography and Rural Development student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Mr. Anthony Kwaku Amoah, a Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ghana Education Service (GES), has told teachers not to see lesson planning as a form of punishment.

Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, on behalf of the University received a donation from Newmont Ghana, towards support of the University of Ghana’s hosting of the up-coming 2017 International Association of Universities’ (IAU) Conference.

CBAS Unveils Official Cloth

The College of Basic and Applied Sciences (CBAS) has unveiled its official cloth as an insignia of institutional identity for its faculty, staff, students and members of the university community.
In 2014, the University of Ghana adopted a collegiate system of governance which saw the creation of CBAS and three other colleges.
