This year, the electoral commissioner raised the pass mark from 60% to 70% explaining that, 'the basic underlying reason is , we want it to be more competitive and also ensure that we scrutinize the aspirants very well to bring the best for the student populace.’

The entire student body is hereby humbly informed of the vetting results of the SRC Executive portfolios.

From the above, it is evident that the pass mark of 70% for the vetting was attained by all candidates except Torsu Kwadzo Alfred.
Subject to the above, Mr. Torsu Kwadzo Alfred is hereby disqualified.
The commission is also on this note informing all candidates and all students that the ban on campaign has been lifted and are also reminded that the Electronic System of voting as agreed by the General Assembly of the SRC, would be used for the elections. Candidates are however advised to observe all school rules regarding pasting of posters otherwise will have their candidature withdrawn.
N.B: Distance Education students & Accra City Campus students will cast their votes at the Students’ Information Centre.
