Police Storm UDS Wa Campus; Halt Voting Process In SRC Elections

The Wa Divisional Police, yesterday stormed University for Development Studies (UDS) Wa Campus to stop an on-going voting in the SRC general elections after a group of concerned students lodged complaint to them that the election was illegal.

"The Police came to campus whiles voting was still on-going and fetched all the ballot boxes and electoral materials into their vehicle and drove away," GhCampus.com's Campus representative, Gyamfi Shadrack Gyasi reported.

According to our campus representative, the Wa High Court granted an application for injunction on the election submitted by one of the presidential aspirants who was disqualified for submitting incomplete nomination form.

The aggrieved aspirant, Mr Nicholas Amoah alleged that the electoral commissioner of the SRC sold a wrong portfolio forms to him.

Our Campus representative added that, Mr Nicholas Amoah resorted to the High Court after he exhausted all internal mechanism for his concerns to be addressed.
