GWCL cuts water supply to KNUST over Ghc6m debt

The Ghana Water Company limited (GWCL) has cut water supply to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) over unpaid bills, StarrFMonline.com reports say.

The development, has reportedly created massive inconveniences for the university community.

Students, lecturers and non-teaching staff are struggling to go about their regular duties without adequate water on campus.

StarrFMonline.com also gathers that strenuous efforts by the authorities to get the water company resume supply to the university has proven futile.

Sources at the GWCL say the university alone owes the company over GHc6 million.
