Exclusive Photos: Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu Inducted Into Office As UG Vice Chancellor

Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu has been inducted into office as Vice-chancellor of University of Ghana.

He succeeds Professor Ernest Aryeetey to become the 12th Vice-chancellor of Ghana's premiere university.

Speaking at the induction ceremony held at the Great Hall of the University, Prof. Owusu said the university authorities would engage relevant stakeholders in the public and private sectors to identify key areas of focus and emphasis to guide its research training programmes.

“This will help tailor teaching and research in the university to feed industries and development in general,” he said.

Prof. Ebenezer Owusu also indicated that, he will continue and complete all developmental projects initiated by his predecessor. He intends to make University of Ghana, a research-intensive university.

The ceremony was attended by Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Mr. Kaoru Yoshimura, former Vice-chancellors, Prof. George Benneh and Prof. Clifford Nii Boi Tagoe, and other dignitaries.
